Reality TV Star Reveals Fear of Losing Her Daughter

Dina Manzo of the reality show “Real Housewives” revealed her real reason for leaving the hit show – fear of losing her daughter, a New York Family Lawyer reports. Manzo left the show quickly, thanks to an escalating feud with her castmate, Danielle Staub. The barbs were quickly becoming much too personal.
The 40-year-old Manzo told a New York Family Lawyer that she left the Jersey edition of the show because Staub was lying in an attempt to have Manzo’s daughter taken away from her, by trying to worry Manzo’s ex-husband about the then-12-year-old girl’s role in the show. He had originally given her permission to appear.
“My ex-husband was well-aware of [our daughter’s] involvement in the show,” Manzo told a New York Family Lawyer. “She would often call him with details after a day of shooting.” Once the first season aired, he became wary of the content. According to Manzo, Staub took that opportunity to lie to Manzo’s ex-husband in an effort to turn him against his ex-wife.
“She told my ex’s family that I’d actually forged his signature on the contracts, which I did not,” Manzo said. “She knew she could work on his emotions, so she supplied him with every phone number of everyone he’d need to follow through with a lawsuit.” The ex-husband did not believe Staub’s stories and never moved ahead with a lawsuit.
